Curriculum

We are currently in the process of reviewing our curriculum offer in every subject to make sure that what we teach is even more appropriate for OUR children and the Woodhouse community in which they live.  Underpinning this revision are 3 key documents:

  • Our Curriculum Statement- This explains our overarching aim for the experience of our children and the values that we will instil.

  • Our Curriculum Intent- This explains the type of children we want to 'grow' at Ringway through carefully selecting the knowledge that they are taught and equipping them with the right skills and experiences to get them ready for the next chapter of their lives.

  • Our Curriculum Offer- This is our pledge.  It lists a wide range of activities and opportunities that ALL of our children will be given throughout their time at Ringway.  Like our children, we hope that this list continues to improve and grow!

Curriculum Subjects

The children follow an exciting, challenging and rewarding school curriculum at Ringway Primary School. Please see below the curriculum content for each year and subject the children cover throughout the year.

At Ringway Primary School, all teachers are responsible for providing an inclusive curriculum that is differentiated for those with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND). We have high expectations for all pupils and are committed to ensuring our curriculum complies with the Equality Act 2010 and the Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014.

Our inclusion statement emphasises the importance of providing an inclusive learning environment for all pupils including those with SEND. Additional information on this can be found in our Special Educational Needs Report and Equality Policy

If you would like more information about the curriculum your child follows, please speak to your child's class teacher. You can also visit the DfE website where you will find additional information on the national curriculum for England.
