A huge welcome to everyone in Class 5R. We are really looking forward to what promises to be an fun and rewarding academic year. Our aim is to ensure that every child makes excellent progress via a wide range of engaging and inspiring lessons. We encourage curiosity and creativity while maintaining high standards in all of our work. Most importantly, our classroom is a safe environment where we support one another and grow from making mistakes.  

In 5R, we work as a team and look after each other. We also commit to giving one hundred percent effort in everything we do and have pride in each other's achievements. We are looking forward to watching 5R grow as individuals and will be supporting all the children to achieve great things.

From Living Things and their habitats, Animals including Humans, Properties and Changes of Materials and Earth and Space, this year will be packed full of exciting learning opportunities for your children. Please see our curriculum map for more information about your child’s learning journey. Please also find knowledge organisers for each unit of work your child is taught this half term. They will help you to assist your child at home and provide them with the key knowledge and skills for year 5.
