The Future Starts Here

Online Safety

Technology is developing at a speed not previously experienced, meaning that online safety is now an integral part of children’s education in today’s digital world.  The safety of your child online is something we take very seriously at Ringway and is a vital part of our computing curriculum.  We appreciate that it is an area that some parents find confusing and difficult to keep up with.  Therefore, we want to help our parents and children improve their own understanding of online safety issues so they can learn to use the internet and all digital media in a safe and secure way.

We have extensive security measures in place within the school, which are reviewed regularly, to help safeguard the children from unsuitable content of the internet and any potential dangers. We have successfully achieved the 360 online safety award.

Children at Ringway Primary School use the internet as part of their learning and we have regular activities and conversations to remind the children about the importance of staying safe on the internet both in school and out of school. It is important we work with parents/carers to ensure the safety of the children whilst using the internet. It is important parents/carers speak to their children about how they can keep safe and behave appropriately on line.
